Q. You treated my building for me. How soon should I re-treat it?
A. Buildings should be re-treated within 6 months to a year, then every 1-2 years after that.
Q. What should I treat my building with?
A. We recommend any reputable wood treatment i.e Cuprinol. However, we do supply our treatment at a competitive price in 5 ltr cans if you want to maintain the colour.
Q. I want to put a colour on my building – can I paint over the initial treatment?
A. Yes, our treatment is water based, so once it has weathered a bit you can put any colour on top.
Q. Do you give a guarantee with your buildings?
A. We are confident that our buildings will not have problems. However , if anything occurs which is not due to the nature of wood, adverse weather conditions or misuse – we will fix it!
Q. I want a building for my garden for multiple use but don’t know what style or size, can you help?
A. Yes we can. We will do a free site survey, advise on design and style, and measure for size.
Q. Will you make a shed to “fit” a space?
A. Yes we will. We will do a free site survey and build your shed to fit!
Q. Can you advise on a base for my building?
A. Yes we can. We can carry out all base work, and advise on the most economical way.
Q. Will I need a slab or concrete base?
A. Not necessarily, depending on the size of building we may advise a shingle over weed membrane base – cheaper and more Eco friendly!!
Q. I want to se my building all year round, can you advise me how to keep it warmer?
A. We can quote on insulating and lining your building to keep it warmer and help prevent condensation build up.
Q. Can I put my building up myself?
A. Yes, our buildings are very easy to erect, we also supply all screws, felt cut to length and instructions. We are also at the end of the phone line if you get stuck!!
Q. Is there an alternative to felt on my shed roof?
A. Yes, you can choose between, heavy felt, felt shingles, onduline or polycarbonate sheets. We will happily quote on any of these.
Q. How often does the felt need replacing? Can you do this for me?
A. Shed felt will normally last 5-6 years, depending on weather etc; We are happy to quote on replacing felt on any of our buildings.
Q. I’d like guttering on my new building, is this possible?
A. Yes, we can supply and fit guttering at the time of the build.
Q. I bought a shed from you but now need a bigger shed, can you help.
A. Yes, we can build you a bigger one or we can extend your existing building in most cases.
